Diagnose & Repair

HMS supply staffing solutions in accordance to your needs. Depending on the respective trade needed, we deploy staff capable of diagnosing and repairing all forms of technical faults.

Consult & Advise

HMS consults and advises clients on the use and benefits of educational and informative workshops. Depending on your requirements, these can be arranged and established nationally.

Field Service / Site Support

The HMS workforce and fitters come ready to travel anywhere, anytime. Our fleet of BMA, BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG mine specified 4×4 vehicles are ready and able to carry out any task required. This allows us to reach: any breakdowns, driver rescues, visits to assets that are not located at a depot, to conduct periodic safety inspections and preventative or scheduled maintenance or any task required that would assist operations.

This service is covered in the hourly rate and will not attract any addition charges for km’s travelled.

The integrity of HMS as a business is based on our moral and legal responsibilities to our clients. Through a high level of Occupational Health & Safety standards and ethics. HMS presents and promotes a safe work environment for employees, customers and contractors alike.

HMS established OHS as a core operating point of our business, choosing to never compromise the safety of the people who make our business happen. Through experience and time we have been fortunate to adopt a deeper understanding of the importance of safety as an ongoing, daily standard to be kept.

Prior to beginning any work, HMS first conducts a comprehensive risk assessment.

This level of detail ensures everyone knows how the task will be carried out, in turn minimising the risk of injury or damage to property.

Training and Development

All HMS staff come ready and prepared, not just with the right tools, but most importantly with the right qualifications. Both managing directors have obtained their Cert IV in training and Assessment.

With this level of qualification from the Directors, it allows HMS staff members to be continually trained and developed to ensure a high level of workmanship is produced on a consistent basis. This will in turn achieve minimal down time, high production/operation and lower maintenance costs.

Fluid Maintenance Australia

HMS has a working knowledge of most types of technical mining equipment likely to be encountered both above and below ground within Australian mining. In-house expertise allows us to demonstrate a truly professional approach to discovering obscure solutions for your hydraulic and site support problems.

HMS aims to be entirely autonomous in operation and largely self-sufficient throughout the mining industry.

We provide highly qualified hydraulic hose fitters to FMA on demand, when required.

From site support and labor backfill, to machinery shutdowns, HMS provides motivated, hard working and qualified hose technicians for any job.

Transport Industry

HMS have dedicated staff members that rotate on a FIFO roster to assist multiple transport companies with all aspects of their fuel tanker and general freight maintenance requirements. From general repairs, breakdowns, servicing and modifications, HMS work timelessly with company staff to ensure minimal downtime for their respective fleets.

HMS staff have their own mine specified vehicles ready and able to travel anywhere, for any reason, to ensure there is minimal delay and these companies are able to provide the quality service they are known for.

Meet the Team

Heath Mackie - Director

Heath began his career as an aircraft maintenance engineer in the Royal Australian Air Force, where his attention to detail and commitment to quality positioned him as a team leader.

After 7 years of military service, Heath gained experience working with Australian Aerospace and QANTAS defence services. He then spent 5 years in the mining sector, involved with the maintenance and hydraulic repair of mining equipment. Following this, Heath moved to the transport industry, driving and monitoring a variety of vehicles and fuel tankers.

Heath’s experience and training has enabled him to take on a wide range of challenges dealing with the maintenance and repair of equipment. Heath and Matthew began HMS, their high level of skill and professionalism led them to rapidly secure clients and establish HMS firmly in the industrial sector.

Krysteena Kanafani - Finance Manager

Krysteena has over 10 years experience in the accounting industry. A fully qualified CPA, she completed her Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting from Griffith University.

Krysteena has worked for companies including BDO Kendalls, Virgin Blue, Tasman Aviation Enterprises (a subsidiary of Air New Zealand) and Super Amart. During these roles she has performed duties including implementing new standards, data migration, producing annual financial statements and reports, budgeting and staff management.

Continuing to expand her professional development and increase her extensive knowledge base as a CPA, Krysteena is a motivated team player and an essential part of HMS.
